How to replace your R8932 series Door Lock

Should your door lock need replacing,  this ‘how to’ will show you step-by-step how to replace the door lock from start to finish! Our Hinged Screen Door Locks are great for providing security to your home while being easy and convenient to lock and unlock. There is an internal locking snib, can suit both left and right handed hinged doors and is easy to install.

Tools Required
  • Philips-head screwdriver

A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO REPLACE YOUR R8932 DOOR LOCK

STEP 1

STEP 3

Remove the existing lock body and parts and insert the new lock body into the door. Fasten lock body with 2 x 13mm screws.

STEP 4

Insert cylinder ensuring it is turned to a locked position and fix using the 37mm cylinder retaining screw. Turn key back to unlocked position.

STEP 5

Insert snib vertically into handle and the rod and spring into lock body before placing inside and outside handles onto the door. Fix with 2 x 28mm handle screws.

STEP 6

Insert screw cover caps.

STEP 7

Remove the existing striker plate and install new striker plate with 25mm screws.

Step 8

Test the handle is operating and that’s it, you have finished replacing your R8932 Hinged Screen Door Lock!
