Tools used:
- Drill
- Tape measure
- Pencil
- Phillips head screwdriver
- 2mm high-speed steel drill bit
- Wrench and socket set
Method:
Step 1: Remove the door from the track.
Step 2: Remove the track from the wall.
Step 3: Install the soft closer assemblies onto the track according to the instructions provided.
Step 4: Install the track to the wall, ensuring it is level.
Step 5: Install the door to the track as it was previously.
Step 6: Slide the door to the closed position. Use a pencil to mark the actuator on top of the door. Then slide the door to the open position. Use a pencil to mark the actuator on top of the door.
Step 7: Remove the door from the track.
Step 8: Install the actuator.
Step 9: Use a flathead screwdriver to pull the catch toward the centre of the track so that the soft closer assemblies are in the open position. Please use caution as additional force may be required.
Step 10: Re-install the door in the centre of the track.
Step 11: Slide the door to the open and closed position.
Step 12: Stand back and admire your work. You’ve just installed a soft closer.
